As Engineer II, you'll develop proficiency on projects, technical assignments and company processes that directly impact our operations. Your ability to consult and assist with project teams is essential to this role.

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Performs a wide spectrum of assignments, requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement while maintaining customer satisfaction

  • Works with increased level of independence but requires supervision on mid-sized projects/technical assignments supporting operations

  • Develops an understanding of industry and operational requirements

  • Demonstrates knowledge of safety requirements, produces results and meets goals

  • Applies and demonstrates knowledge of Company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by organization and governing agencies

  • Prepares and delivers presentations to individuals and groups

  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry

Other Requirements:

  • FE Certification preferred

Atlantic Gulf:

  • Interfaces with consultant engineering firms/project teams and stakeholders to assist with engineering design efforts

  • Preferred: Bachelor's in Civil Engineering

  • Provides engineering assistance in preparing and submitting federal, state and local permitting applications to secure permits to construct and operate compression facilities

JOB SUMMARY To collaborate within the Engineering - Technical Department on engineering design and construction supervision for capital construction projects. Provide technical support to the Company's Operations, Marketing, and Purchasing departments to maintain rig productivity. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Work independently or with a team on engineering design for new rig construction, rig refurbishing / modification, and rig maintenance activities, including scope of work, drafting oversight and final drawing issuance * Oversee construction activities, including cost control and scheduling for yard and field construction efforts * Provides technical support to the Operations, Marketing, and Purchasing departments, including on-site troubleshooting * Maintains current knowledge of new drilling equipment and practices * Maintain current knowledge of new project management techniques and practices * Review, research and analyses internal and supplier specifications, manuals, and other data supporting team and project needs to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications * Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, client contract requirements, and related specifications; and, review and recommend capital equipment for Capital and Equipment Standards committees * Coordinates with sub-contractors and oversee their progress and quality * Assists in audits of sub-contractors * Participates in the evaluation of new equipment * Any additional duties assigned by management Nabors Industries, Ltd.
