Resideo is currently seeking a PCB layout engineer. In this role, you will collaborate with various engineers to design and develop PCBs for low-cost, high-volume IoT products. The ideal candidate should have prior layout experience and be familiar with various aspects of PCB design, including high-speed digital, multi-layer rigid PCBs, DFM, and RF wireless. Additionally, the candidate should understand PCB layout rules and constraints and help our company's follow PCB technology advancements.

Job Duties

• Responsibility for building new PCB designs from the ground up using industry-standard ECAD tools, such as Mentor Expedition.

• Perform component placement, trace routing, analysis, verification, and related tasks on both new and existing PCB designs.

• Generate fabrication drawings, parts lists, and bills of materials for printed circuit board assemblies.

• Develop efficient processes for exchanging design information across electrical and mechanical tools.

• Work closely with a cross-functional team comprising electrical and mechanical engineers, project managers, DFM engineers, factory personnel, and project technical leaders.

You Must Have

• Experience with electronics, electrical engineering, and/or related disciplines.

• Experience with Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design.

We Value

• Familiarity with Mentor Expedition tools.

• Good technical understanding of high-speed signal PCB layout rules (DDR, PCIe, USB, SDIO, Ethernet, etc.).

• Solid understanding and experience in multilayer PCB design.

• Prior experience with PCBs containing RF aspects such as Wi-Fi, BLE, and sub-GHz.

• Experience with ECAD library (generating symbols, footprints, and parameters).

• Good communication and cooperation skills.

• DFM and DFT experience.
