Essential Functions

  • Lead Consumer Driven Projects (CDP) through effective project management, customer and inter-company communications, product and system design solutions, and release documentation.

  • Facilitate improvement of the CDP process through use of lean tools.

  • Generate creative solutions by providing customized pump solutions to solve customer challenges

  • Develop, coordinate, and execute verification plans and tests to ensure product compliance to customer requirements, acceptable manufacturing yields, and minimal project risk.

  • Assist manufacturing personnel to transition CDP from design concept to viable product solution.

  • Drive and improve CDP process from initial project conception to final product release.

  • Provide proactive technical product and applications support to customers and field sales personnel to ensure an optimized product solution, to facilitate sales revenue, and to maintain the Division's premier customer service position.

  • Develop and provide technical presentations on business unit products to customers and internal staff.

  • Make active attempts to influence events to achieve goals; self-starting and proactive.

  • Develop a knowledge of divisional products

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and generate competitive analysis reports as required.

  • Provide and maintain the highest degree of customer service and quality of work in all facets of the position.

  • Mentor other engineers to improve their product knowledge and engineering capabilities

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and managing complex customized pump projects with high growth potential. Supports Applications Engineering for inquiries related to product-specific capabilities. Develops new tools and solutions to improve department processes and procedures. Guides and helps develop other Applications Engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering. (Mechanical, Electro-mechanical or Electrical preferred)

  • 4-6 Years Engineering experience within a related field and manufacturing environment

  • Understands fundamentals of fluidics, pneumatics and electro mechanical design. Experience with pumps ideal but not required.

  • Excellent mechanical and electrical comprehension preferred with the ability to understand, describe, and discuss problems of a technical nature

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively and strong active listening skills

  • Proficient knowledge of problem solving tools like cause and effect analysis, ten-step process, A3 reports, etc.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Have a "sense of urgency" when communicating internally and externally.

This position's responsibilities will include participating in and coaching others in the execution of security vulnerability remediation to mitigate risks to Lowe's network, data, and information. This position includes responsibilities to support adherence to applicable regulations and laws as well as security standards and Lowe's IT policies. The IT Compliance Engineer II works closely with Information Security, Internal Audit, and teams across IT. Responsibility Statement: To accomplish this, the IT Compliance Engineer II must have knowledge of information technology and security policies and best practices and must have an understanding of information security vulnerabilities. * Provides consultation and technical advice on remediation of security vulnerabilities * Reviews reports to identify security vulnerabilities and make recommendations to IT teams to address the risks * Collaborates with IT infrastructure engineers, application teams, Information Security, and Audit to help define and understand target strategies * Works in a team responsible for verifying and validating compliance with regulations, laws, Lowe's policies, and security standards * Provides vulnerability assessment results to IT teams and collaborates with recipients to address the results * Provides status reporting on vulnerability remediation activities to support day-to-day program management and to demonstrate progress to senior IT management * Defines process for vulnerability remediation activities to be shared across the team Qualifications Required Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in related field and 5+ years of experience in Information and Network Security, Infrastructure Engineering, or IT Compliance or 7+ years of experience. * Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal, communication and writing skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to work in a team setting * Basic understanding of fundamental security and network concepts (operating systems, databases, intrusion/detection, TCP/IP, ports, etc.) * Knowledge of Windows operating systems * 6+ years of experience in an IT support environment with technical experience in distributed technologies and systems development, specifically Windows operating systems. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement .
