Job Description:
As a SoC DFT Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing Scan, MBIST, and other DFx (Design for Test/Debug/Validation) features within 32-bit microcontrollers. You will need to understand how each implementation affects complexity, area, and test time. You will report to the SoC DFT manager in Chandler and will interact with teams located in Chandler, France, and India.
You will provide support to product, test, and failure analysis engineers during the production lifecycle.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Strong understanding of digital design concepts and principles.
Knowledge in using Linux/Unix based systems.
Experience with Verilog / System Verilog RTL design.
Knowledge in a simulation tool.
Capability to develop basic MCU embedded software (C-based).
Perl/python or other scripting language.
Problem solving, analytical and debugging skills. Must be organized, self-motivated and passionate.
Preferred qualifications
Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills. Good communication skills in writing and speaking English.
Working effectively with other design teams (Architecture, IP development, Design Implementation, Physical design Team), as well as other engineering teams (Product Engineering, Applications).
Capability to work and exchange efficiently with multiple design sites worldwide (US, India, France). Some travel might be required.
Strong orientation for continuous improvement and methodology development though design flow excellence.
Completed an nternship within the Design-For-Test (DFT) discipline preferred.
Some knowledge of Scan, MBIST, Boundary Scan, and/or JTAG is preferred.
