Etch Engineer
Photronics, Inc., is looking for an Etch Engineer to join our world class reticle manufacturing team in Boise, Idaho.
The Etch Engineer reports directly into a Mask Processing Engineering team focusing on manufacturing support, tool and process qualification and integration, and area continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will possess an understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process, ideally having previous reticle and/or wafer defect inspection experience.
Must be able to execute in a complex, high performance mask manufacturing environment to enhance cycle time, improve yield, and manage costs while striving for continuous improvement in manufacturing mask performance.
The Etch Engineer should be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience interpreting data from various analytical tools & techniques (SEM, AFM, EDX)
Excellent computer skills
Ability to interface with and effectively communicate across multiple teams
Excellent problem-solving skills
Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience: collecting data, interpreting control charts, defining OCAP, and setting control limits
Usage of quality-related tools and concepts such as 8D, FMEA, fishbone, 5-why, etc.
Experience with working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Ability to produce written procedures and provide effective training across assigned tool set.
Ability to drive and work in cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and investigations.
Ability to solve issues through root cause analysis methods. Using quality-related tools and concepts such as 8D, FMEA, fishbone, 5-why etc.
Ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Demonstrates skill in setting up training and testing material for a manufacturing environment
Strong process development knowledge and DOE capability
Overall knowledge on process integration is preferred but not required
