Engineer I

JOB SUMMARYResponsible for the development, administration and coordination of the manufacturing policies and practices designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays, improve quality, and otherwise promote cost improvement and process control for all of manufacturing.REPORTING TOGeneral ManagerESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.*

Plans and coordinates projects of major scope and importance * Provide manufacturing cost savings suggestions and implementation - in the course of process/tool design, identify lowest cost alternatives. * Actively participate in the engineer to order process from an equipment capability stand-point * Responsible for the technical implementation of lean manufacturing within your responsible areas * Capital equipment justifications for performance and product improvement * Responsible for definition of safe manufacturing practices within your responsible areas * Manage tooling and tooling organization; design, document, solicit tool quotes, submit request for PO's; control in-coming tooling * Manage TPM program * Collaborate with Quality on technical aspects of product quality * Provide on floor technical support to production operators * Maintains electronic and hard copy engineering documents * Other duties/projects as requiredEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE* 4-year engineering degree preferred or equivalent work experience* 3 years in manufacturing environment * Experience with machine and machine tooling programs * Fluent English language and well-spoken with excellent technical writing skills * Excellent computer skills which include MS-Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Auto Cad and SolidWorks * Thorough understanding of standard engineering practices * Strong organizational and math skills * Attention to detail * High passion, energy, drive, and intelligence * High levels of initiative and curiosity * Strong sense of urgency * Fastener Experience a plusPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS* This is a full-time position. General business hours are 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
