General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) is a supplier of advanced electromagnetic systems, related power equipment and other high technology products for a variety of government and commercial applications. These include products such as the design and fabrication of linear motors, superconducting and conventional rotating motors, power inverters, high-energy capacitors, radiation monitoring systems, high-voltage direct current power distribution systems, and numerous other products.

We have an exciting opportunity in our Aerospace Engineering department for an Integration, Assembly, and Test Engineer. This full-time position will serve as the IA&T Engineer for missile, satellite, projectile, and other weapon systems. The successful candidate will provide technical support to a multi-disciplinary team distributed between Huntsville, AL, Tupelo, MS, Centennial, CO, Fredericksburg, VA, and San Diego, CA. The IA&T Engineer will support the major weapon system and satellite programs through all phases of the design, development, integration, and test of the weapon systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES:

• Support the development of system test plans, execute ground and flight tests, and document test results.

• Assist in the identification, communication, documentation of test objectives, and develop test procedures accordingly.

• Support technical interchanges for test activities on major weapon system and satellite programs.

• Support test readiness reviews, test event briefs, and post-test debriefs.

• Provide on-site test support during the execution of ground and flight tests.

• Capture test failure details in defect reports.

• Collaborate with GA and customer engineering and program management teams.

• Provide documentation and make technical presentations.

• Support development and editing of technical documents.
