Job Description
Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, Engineer to join our team in Fryeburg, ME. The Engineer will design mechanical and electro-mechanical solutions. Coordinate and accomplish projects related to contract manufacturing and metal machining process technology, tooling, and products. SolidWorks design proficiency, a basic understanding of metal machining processes, project management, verbal and written communication are essential skills. A proven ability to solve problems is required.

Responsibilities
Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and components by applying the principals of mechanics, statics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, electricity, and materials.
Design tooling, fixtures, and measurement devices in support of metal machining processes
Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility studies, testing methods, and defining test parameters.
Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements, soliciting observations from operators, testing, researching manufacturing methods, assembly methods and materials.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing or modifying equipment through fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government and customer requirements.
Maintains drawing and purchase requisition database accurately.
Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsible for working within established project budgets and tracking project costs. Will notify supervisor if budget is in jeopardy.

Required Skills and Experience:
Understanding of common metal machining processes.
Basic mechanical design proficiency.
Ability to read and create engineering drawings.
Basic knowledge of GD&T.
Attention to detail.
Time management.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Environment/Conditions
Monday to Friday, day schedule, 8 or more hours per day.
