Triton Integration & Test is seeking a Electrical Engineer 2 responsible for supporting design, development, and integration for the TSC Hotbench for 6 months. As a Design Engineer you'll be responsible for Circuit design,

AV Power distribution system and Transmission Lines design, troubleshooting and verification in a lab setting using design tools such as CATIA and Visio.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for:

  • Design, and build Lab Unique Harnesses using AV Harness System Schematic and Sensor/Network/Comms ICDs

  • Derive harness requirements from WRA ICDs

  • Re-design/Modify AV wire harnesses

  • Provide manufacturing and testing technical support on proposed solutions

The selected candidate is expected to work with other design engineers as well as team members from System Integration & Test, Quality, Change Management, Lap Ops and other numerous other engineering disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree within a science, technical, engineering or mathematics (STEM) discipline.
  • A current DoD Secret level security clearance, to include a Single Scope Background Investigation, a periodic reinvestigation, or an original adjudication date completed within the last 6 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of power electronics, specifically AV Payload Integration

  • Familiarity with Harness manufacturing

  • Hands on experience with Optical Sensors

  • Hands on experience with Airborne Radars

AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD Mechanical, 3-D CAD software NX, Solid Works, or Labview is a plus.

Knowledge of analog, digital, AC/DC power design fundamentals.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of Aircraft Electrical Power Distribution System, Networks, and Comms, specifically for the Triton AV

  • Experience in a team based design UAV project (e.g. UAV, MC2 System Integration)

  • Communication protocol (1553, ARINC 429, Ethernet, RS-232, RS-422.) implementation experience

  • Working knowledge of RF & Optical systems

  • Ability to synthesize critical technical details into risks and actions items

  • Experience with system design, integration and test of AV systems.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

  • Be able to support design on short-term basis(6-months)

Must have working knowledge of engineering tools CATIA and MS Visio.

Roles and Responsibilities: * Providing detailed designs of aircraft systems, cabling, and installations. * Design of integrated systems for airborne platforms, including cabling for power, RF, networking, 1553 bus, and other data types. * Participating with Project Engineer and Program Staff for electrical and/or hardware cabling and/or systems. * Contribute to SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) analysis for portions of the payload. * Develop electrical design drawings and technical specifications. * Analyzing and resolving design issues in the areas of communications systems and related electrical systems and components. * Engineering collaboration between procurement and production for the interpretation of engineering design, documentation, and BOM management. * Candidate must be able to meet aggressive/accelerated schedule deadlines. * Participating with production planning and fabrication for airborne systems. * Working under general and independent guidance to develop approaches to solutions based on customer/program requirements. This req can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3 Basic Qualifications for a level 2: * 2 Years with Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar STEM related Discipline * Ability to use a standard desktop (PC) computer and Windows-based tools to produce original documents including drawings, plans, procedures and reports. * Technical writing skills for electrical power designs/systems. * Experience with 2D and/or 3D Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) programs * Ability to work productively in a team environment. * Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in order to communicate well and interact successfully with all levels of the organization. * Must possess technical flexibility and willingness to learn. * US citizenship required.
