Job Summary:

The Engineering Document Control specialist will support the Product Development Engineering team and work in close collaboration with Product Line Management team, Spec Engineering team, and Operations team to maintain documentation, systems and procedures for Fiber Cable Product Lines. The specialist will also collaborate on the development and improvement of new systems and procedures. This is position will be based in Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, submit, and monitor approval of engineering change orders. This will involve review of design specifications with engineers, and communicate with spec engineering, procurement, purchasing, process engineering departments.

• Submit controlled design specifications and procedures for approval to quality system.

• Organize controlled documents in quality system.

• Provide support to the PLM team on setting up part numbers for product launch.

• Update or create technical data sheets. This will involve creating drawings.

• Manage data and documents to preserve data integrity and ensure consistencies.

• Run cost analysis for engineering projects.

• Participate in the validation of a new MES (Manufacturing Execution System).

• Create or modify new part number in MES system using established formulas and controlled design specifications.

Required Skills and Experience

• Associates degree or another technical certification preferred.

• Experience working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.

• Excellent attention to details and resourcefulness.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $43,300 - $65,000 annually, plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Belden may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant's experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
