Selected candidate will work on implementation of digital logic for space applications. Assignments vary based on individual interest and background in the fields of digital communications, signal processing, network routing and switching protocols, and computer architectures.

Activities include VHDL design of ASIC and FPGA, verification via simulation and emulation, synthesis, and timing analysis. Understanding of digital logic design. Study courses include digital communication, signal processing, network routing and switching protocols, or computer architectures.

Experience with C/C , VHDL, or Verilog. Experience with commercial CAD tools (simulation, synthesis, and place-and-route). Hand-on lab experience is highly desired. Must have good interpersonal skills and able to work well in a team environment. Must have good oral and written communication skills.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or another STEM degree from an accredited university

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a JWST Database Electrical Design Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. Essential Functions: * Assist in the development of JWST Command and Telemetry database activities including data population, database design, and configuration management, requirements definition and database verification and validation * Ability to perform database front end design, data file architecture, architectural development, metafile manipulation via MySQL, and host software server integration (Java). * Work with Apache server manipulation and code updates. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited university. * Knowledge of industry standard Database architecture design standards and software (MySQL, MsAccess, Metadata files, Apache, and/or Java) * Experience with Database Architecture Design and Metafile data development. * Ability to obtain and maintain a SSBI clearance.
