Engineer

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Engineer to support SRD Division. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Provide full-time aerospace engineering support to the SRD Division.

• Provide worldwide technical and engineering support for US Army H-60 rotorcraft.

• Specialize in drivetrain vibration monitoring, rotor smoothing, and shaft balances.

• Provide engineering support for HUMS systems.

• Evaluate and guide coefficients and algorithms.

• Review IVHMS field testing and engineering evaluation in support of the.

• Write test plans, collect test data, and evaluate test results.

• Lead meetings and provide engineering expertise.

Required Experience:

• Bachelors and 16 years experience preferred.

• Acceptable alternative is PHD and 13 years/ Masters and 15 years.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with HUMS operations.

• Familiarity with US Army documents and manuals.

• Familiarity with US Army Helicopters with strong experience on the H-60 platform.
