Job Description

This position assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. As an Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products, planning and designing mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment, performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them, and providing oversight and support for construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Work on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products.
• Plan and design mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Perform system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.
• Provide oversight and support for construction activities.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of professional working experience within an engineering capacity.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical or civil).
• Previous project management experience.
• Experience in design, AutoCAD, pipeline design, utility design, mechanical design, and linear projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience supporting DOT projects is a plus.
• Experience working in MicroStation is a plus.
• Must be able to run stakeholder meetings with high-level leadership.
• EIT certification is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
