JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responsible for the project supervision and implementation of designed systems into new or existing infrastructure. Engineering and Implementation of many Integrated Security solutions including Physical and Logical Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Networking Monitoring, Network Intrusion Systems and CCTV.

  • Fundamentals of Lan and Wan topologies including Firewalls, IPSEC, IPS, specializing in CISCO.

  • Windows networking and systems integration.

  • Extensive familiarity with Physical Security designs, database structures, protocols and personnel.

  • Engineering and implementation of middle ware solution for numerous US Agencies to facilitate the transmission and mobility of confidential card-holder information between incompatible autonomous systems.

  • Responsible for various engineering and implementation tasks such as Site Surveying, (FAT) Factory Acceptance Test, (PITCO) Pre-Installation and Test Check-Out and (SOVT) System Operational Verification Test.

  • Evaluation and accreditation of networks and platforms to DISA standards

Requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline coupled with (7) to (9) years in security systems engineering.

  • Must have working knowledge and/or certification with security manufacturers such as Lenel, MDI, or Software House.

  • This position is considered sensitive and will require extensive background screening processes in order to meet current or future contract needs. Applicants will be subject to and be required to meet specific background eligibility requirements in order to apply and maintain such positions.

  • Primary place of work will be out of the M.C. Dean Corporate office in Dulles, VA and will require travel to customer's location in Ft. Meade area 2 times per week

  • Requires minimal travel outside of the Washington DC Metro

Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:

  • AutoCAD

  • Certification in Lenel (1000-7000)

  • Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Server 2008 experience

  • Dell Storage Area Networks, Brocade and Cisco network equipment

  • Symantec Netbackup software

  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems

  • Install and load system operating software

  • Configure network components

Dean is looking for a skilled Graphics Specialist & Technical Editor II to join a team on a project with a DoD Service Cyber Component organization at Ft. Meade, MD. The Business Graphics Specialist II is a critical component in establishing capability assurance at the client level. The position operates in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment in support of Department of Defense initiatives. The position will be located at the customer project site at Ft. Meade, MD. * Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in graphic design or related field with at least two (2) years of experience OR Associates Degree in graphic design or related field with six (6) to ten (10) years of experience. * Must have Department of Defense (DoD) TS clearance with SCI eligibility and Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph. * Ability to conduct basic research and summarize findings. * Ability to support operational and process analysis and preparation of documentation, reports and presentations. * Ability to present findings with support materials to government/military sponsors, operational commands and organizations. * Ability to think creatively and communicate thoughts both in terms of structured narrative and visual graphics * Demonstrate creativity and excellent technical skills in graphic design including concepts, typography, imagery, color and layout. * Ability to develop and design all phases of assigned projects from initial concept through final production including proofing, file preparation and distribution. Projects may include icon development, logo development, presentation graphics, enterprise architecture operational modeling, handbook/guidebook layouts, training materials development, process diagram development, and MS PowerPoint presentation support. * Ability to provide basic editing of narrative documents in MS Word or MS PowerPoint. * Ability to work collaboratively with project team members to develop design concepts, providing advice and recommendations to ensure effective results. * Ability to provide proofing and quality control of project deliverables to ensure they are accurate and delivered on time. * Ability to work independently and function effectively as a member of a team. * Require excellent time management and organization skills. * Require proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Fireworks) and Microsoft Office.
