Job Designation

The Senior Engineer, Quality defines and implements quality assurance solutions to a wide range of complex issues. Ensures a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommends corrective actions.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Performs complex quality assurance tests and inspection activities

  • Initiates and leads root cause analysis for process related concerns, analyzes process audit results, and recommends proper corrective and preventive action

  • Establishes the quality requirement, assuring that delivered products/components meet the design and reliability requirements

  • Operates within established budgets by developing cost effective methods to improve quality

  • Approves manufacturing processes, test instructions and specifications for conformance to program quality requirements

  • Performs Quality audits on various processes to ensure that all requirements are being followed

  • Provides significant expertise and knowledge on complex issues and acts as a professional resource for colleagues

  • May be assigned to one of the following areas: Quality Systems, Supplier Quality Assurance or Project Product Assurance

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications :
Years Experience : 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
Skills :

  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirements

  • Manufacturing Environment with a focus on Mechanical/ Electrical is desired

  • Aerospace or Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred

  • AS9100 lead auditor certification is preferred

  • IPC-610 experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems

  • Ability to exercise a high degree of originality and independent judgment in addition to keeping abreast of new production technology and engineering advancements

  • Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

  • Ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion

We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI) Engineer to be responsible for making mission-critical decisions involving coordination, design, and development of strategies for data synchronization across instances of Epic software. The engineer is responsible for setting up EMFI and Data Courier interfaces and managing traffic into and out of community lead, EMFI, end-user deployment, and standalone environments. In addition, this individual is responsible for implementing enterprise tracking decisions, auditing Data Courier use by other teams, and troubleshooting EMFI and Data Courier errors. The engineer generally works independently under deadlines and is subject to heavy workloads. The EMFI Engineer 3 is competent to work on complex software systems analysis and programming assignments. The EMFI Engineer 3 contributes to identifying and facilitating the ongoing improvement of EMFI and Data Courier management, including team growth, improved internal processes, and sustainable system configuration systems and has full authorization and access to the core functionality of the Epic's applications and databases. In this position you will have the following responsibilities: * Participate in 24 x 7 on call rotation as needed. * Manage the core EMFI and Data Courier setup and configuration (ECI, EGC, and interfaces). * Review the EMFI interface error logs and triage error investigations to the application teams when appropriate. * Coordinate the initial decisions regarding what to track/untrack and what should be controlled at the CL-level vs. the deployment level. * Review and implement any change requests to track or untrack items. * Provide the EMFI perspective for Epic enterprise-level events and projects, like upgrades and downtimes. * Implement new EMFI and Data Courier systems/programs/interfaces and modify existing EMFI and Data Courier systems/programs/interfaces to satisfy new requirements. * Provide technical programming assistance to incorporate EMFI and Data Courier software updates. * Monitor data and database integrity as it pertains to the ability to sync static data. Required qualifications for this position include: * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive experience. * 7 years of progressive experience in information technology, with particular experience in interface engine development/management or database management. * Demonstrated analytical skills * Strong verbal communication and listening skills * Excellent organizational skills * Demonstrates the ability to translate technical information into terminology understood at all levels of users, both verbally and win writing. * Demonstrates/develops an expert knowledge of clinical applications, systems and technical requirements. * Comprehension of and the ability to utilize multiple Epic related computer languages and tool kits to support EMFI and Data Courier interfaces currently in use at Providence. * 2 years of experience in EMFI and Data Courier administration.*Training offered if meets all other qualifications. * Epic Certifications in Data Courier, IntraConnect, Bridges/Interface Administration and Chronicles Install Utilities *Training and Certification offered if meets all other qualifications.
