Job Designation

The Senior Engineer, Quality defines and implements quality assurance solutions to a wide range of complex issues. Ensures a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommends corrective actions.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Performs complex quality assurance tests and inspection activities

  • Initiates and leads root cause analysis for process related concerns, analyzes process audit results, and recommends proper corrective and preventive action

  • Establishes the quality requirement, assuring that delivered products/components meet the design and reliability requirements

  • Operates within established budgets by developing cost effective methods to improve quality

  • Approves manufacturing processes, test instructions and specifications for conformance to program quality requirements

  • Performs Quality audits on various processes to ensure that all requirements are being followed

  • Provides significant expertise and knowledge on complex issues and acts as a professional resource for colleagues

  • May be assigned to one of the following areas: Quality Systems, Supplier Quality Assurance or Project Product Assurance

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Certifications :
Years Experience : 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
Skills :

  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Engineering processes and regulatory requirements

  • Manufacturing Environment with a focus on Mechanical/ Electrical is desired

  • Aerospace or Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred

  • AS9100 lead auditor certification is preferred

  • IPC-610 experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated analytical skills to proactively identify and solve problems

  • Ability to exercise a high degree of originality and independent judgment in addition to keeping abreast of new production technology and engineering advancements

  • Able to solve complex problems; makes decisions based on the analysis of multiple sources of information

  • Ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-04T00:00 Providence is calling an Enterprise Master File Infrastructure (EMFI) Engineer 2 to Providence Health & Services in Renton WA, Seattle WA, Portland OR, Beaverton OR, Anchorage AK, Missoula MT, Torrance CA, Burbank CA OR Anaheim CA. We are seeking an EMFI Engineer 2 to be responsible for the implementation and management of EMFI, Data Courier, and related infrastructure for Providence's Epic application. The EMFI Engineer 2 applies understanding of Epic's static data structure, synchronization tools, and project management to data migration and standardization challenges. The incumbent contributes to recommendations for enterprise use of IntraConnect and Data Courier software products, policy and process improvements, and methods to increase technical productivity. In this position you will: * Demonstrate effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors, stakeholders, other department employees and vendors in order to maximize productivity and positive employee relations. * Be responsible for positive relationship management with the team mates and analyst team members. Is accountable for identifying and managing customer expectations. * Participate in 24 x 7 on call rotation as needed. * Manage the core EMFI and Data Courier interface setup and determine configuration changes that impact the functionality of the EMFI and Data Courier tools (ECI, EGC, and interfaces). * Review the EMFI interface error logs and triage error investigations to the application teams when appropriate. * Coordinate the initial decisions regarding what to track/untrack and what should be controlled at the CL-level vs. the deployment level. * Determine and implement configuration and programing updates to resolve on-call issues and data migration problems. Required qualifications for this position include: * Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and extensive experience. * 5 years of progressive experience in information technology, with particular experience in programming or system/database configuration and management. * Possesses a solid knowledge of information technology and information systems. * Advanced experience in the use of desktop software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio. Preferred qualifications for this position include: * Experience with Epic data structures, e.g., Epic application analyst, Epic technical support, etc. and could reduce 5 year experience requirement. * Epic certifications in Data Courier, IntraConnect, Bridges/Interface Administration and Chronicles Install Utilities. Employees are expected to attain these certifications within 6-9 months of hire. * Experience with UNIX command line. * Experience with programming/scripting in at least one computer language.
