The Database Security Management team has an immediate opening for an Engineer 2 to help our internal customers understand security requirements in a highly complex environment. You will participate in all aspects of database security and will work on initiatives focusing on data protection and compliance in accordance with the Enterprise Security Framework, Corporate Information Security Policy, and Data Classification Policy.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Drives implementation and support design of database security knowledge management tools

  • Drives innovation of data security functions, reporting, and metrics

  • Collaborates in strategic database security planning process and process improvement efforts

  • Research, design, test, implement, and maintain security initiatives for all database environments

  • Develop, maintain, evaluate, and implement policies and procedures to meet national and international business and legislative security, audit, and regulatory requirements for data security (i.e. SOC1, SOC2, ISO 27001/22301, PCI, GDPR policies and procedures)

  • Coordinate and oversee internal and external client audits as it relates to IT security and compliance.

  • Work with IT personnel to ensure awareness and alignment of ongoing client, industry and best practice compliance obligations.

  • Protects our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions and daily job responsibilities; follows security policies and procedures

  • Perform database activity monitoring including onboarding, auditing, alerting, reporting

This position is located at our Weldon Spring campus in St. Louis, MO, and may require the ability to travel between our local campuses as needed.

Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans Qualifications Required: * Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future * 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following databases: Oracle, MSSQL, and/or open database platforms such MariaDB, MySQL or PostgreSQL * Must have experience protecting confidential and highly-confidential database content * Experience with automation using scripting languages such as VB, PowerShell, Linux/Unix Shell, SQL, SSRS or other scripting language * Must have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be an active listener and fully engaged communicator while effectively being able to communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge * Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify necessary steps of a solution and move an initiative to the goals * Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills * Ability to develop an effective presentation and the ability to articulate the story to an audience * Ability to work on small to large, moderately complex assignments that may require research and advanced skill application * Must have initiatve with a positive attitude who is detail oriented * Must have experience communicating with users, and exercising appropriate judgment between what is requested and what is feasible * Ability to work well in both a team environment and individually * Ability to work well with others and on the phone * Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation once every 7 weeks * Knowledge of Service Management best practices (Incident, Problem and Change Management) * Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities Preferred: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred * Experience with relational databases a plus * Experience with Linux/Unix, Windows environments * Knowledge of PCI, NIST or other IT Security compliance standards is preferred * Knowledge of Data Governance best practices is preferred * Familiarity with Imperva, Splunk and CyberArk * Experience with Atlassian tools, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket * Experience with Java scripting * Experience with Windows Active Directory * Experience with data masking solutions * Ability to read and understand system, database and application log files * Familiarity with cloud solutions like Amazon and Azure is preferred * Knowledge of database encryption is preferred Enterprise Holdings Saint Louis MO
