Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company is looking for an Engine Field Technician to support our customers with repairs in the field. The Technician will travel across the U.S./Canada and perform field repairs to Peterbilt trucks.

Job Requirements

• Experience following detailed procedures to produce high quality consistent repairs.

• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.

• Adjust, and operate a variety of tools requiring close tolerance work, inspect own work for conformance with specifications, using gauges, hand tools and power tools.

• 1-3 years of experience with Medium- and Heavy-Duty vehicles a must. Corresponding ASE Certification a plus.

• Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and in confined areas on trucks.

• Travel up to 100% U.S. and Canada.

• Basic computer communication and data entry skills required, and ability to become an effective user of standard software used by industry PACCAR technicians.

• Strong internal and external professional communication skills both written and verbal.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Appropriate technical school training preferred, or applicable work experience.
