Become an expert in Workday's Implementation Methodology and leverage it on all engagements.
Demonstrate competency in the Workday product suite - HCM/Payroll, and/or Financials.
Manage the implementation of 1 - 2 simultaneous projects.
Ensure projects are successfully delivered on time and budget with positive customer satisfaction.
Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed.
Work with the client project manager to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes.
Present client with change orders for work outside the scope of the SOW.
Identify opportunities to position other service offerings.
Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings.
Develop and manage strong Executive level relationships (e.g., CHRO, CFO, CIO) with the customer.
Help other Workday organizations (e.g., Support, Customer Success) develop strong customer relationships.
Be a project liaison for professional services when interacting with sales and/or development.
Ensure the client can serve as a reference.
Provide guidance and mentoring to Professional Service resources on your implementations.
Eventually mentor other Engagement Managers.
Contribute to internal initiatives to continuously improve Workday's methodology and deployment strategy.
Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW.
7+ years' experience project managing HCM, Payroll, or Financial implementations within higher education (College/University) and/or state and local governments.
Consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company.
Experience implementing Workday, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, Banner or similar application.
Working knowledge with at least one of the following business areas: Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, or similar business experience.
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
Cloud experience a plus
Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus.
Previous service sales experience a plus. Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience.
