Note: This role is open to all US-based candidates, with a strong preference for those located in Western New York.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Mastery:

  • Drive client relationships from inception to realization, ensuring client success and satisfaction.

  • Foster enduring relationships by deeply understanding client needs.

  • Strategic Business Development:

  • Proactively uncover new business prospects through outbound sales initiatives and targeted outreach campaigns.

  • Focus 70% of your efforts on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Sales Leadership:

  • Lead the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation.

Innovative Solutioning:

  • Build lasting partnerships with enterprise clients by delivering custom solutions that redefine their business.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to create tailored proposals addressing client requirements.

Collaborative Team Engagement:

  • Work with internal teams to ensure projects meet high standards and align with client expectations.

Technical Acumen:

  • Communicate technical language fluently with clients, translating their needs into actionable solutions.

  • Dedicate 30% of your time to nurturing and managing existing client relationships to ensure ongoing satisfaction and growth.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in custom software or custom technology companies.

  • Proven track record of outbound sales success within the custom software industry.

  • Strong ability to cultivate enduring client relationships based on a deep understanding of their needs.

  • Effective communication skills to engage clients at all organizational levels and articulate value propositions.

  • Strategic thinking to address complex business challenges with innovative solutions.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to evolving priorities.

  • Team collaboration skills to leverage collective strengths and achieve shared goals.

  • Strategic acumen to navigate complex sales cycles and understand industry dynamics.

In Rochester, N.Y., home to ITX's headquarters, the pay range for an Engagement Lead role is $83,000 (with significant opportunity for variable compensation based on sales performance).
