We are recruiting for an ENGAGE 3.0 Lead Family Coordinator (Mental Health Administrator 2) at OhioMHAS Central Office to lead all phases of ENGAGE 3.0 working with peer and family support partners family and activities. Serves as a bridge between families and any relevant supporting agencies.

This position is grant funded through 09/30/2027 unless additional funding is secured.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead all phases of ENGAGE 3.0 activities working with youth and family peer support partners

  • Promote an integrated System of Care approach for implementation of ENGAGE 3.0 in tandem with the ENGAGE 3.0 Project Lead

  • Develop plans and recommendations for increasing Youth and Family Peer Support services and recovery practices in Ohio

  • Assist in developing guidelines, best practices, training and support strategies to improve access and understanding of Youth and Family Peer Support workforce, peer support organizations, advocacy, wellness, & recovery across the state

  • Engage with system partners to expand workforce capacity for Youth and Family Peer Support certification

  • Provide statewide technical assistance for peers serving on MRSS and IHBT teams

  • Assist in establishing and meeting statewide & regional Youth and Family Peer Support goals and objectives

  • Serve as bureau's lead family peer engagement coordinator

  • Provide technical assistance to Certified Youth and Family Peer Supporters and the Peer Support Community

  • Research and respond to inquiries from community, including providers, other state agencies, and the general public

  • Serve as bridge between families and any relevant support agencies or state committees/councils

  • Represent OhioMHAS and promote statewide awareness as the subject matter expert on youth and family supports

  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality standards and metrics for youth and family peer support

  • Assist local communities and the ENGAGE 3.0 lead evaluator with the data collection process to include the recruitment of peer data collectors, and reporting related to the evidence-based practices of ENGAGE 3.0 (Mobile Response and Stabilization Services [MRSS], Intensive Home-Based Treatment [IHBT] and Certified Peer Services)

  • Develop and maintain relationships and communicate as needed with internal and external stakeholders

4 yrs. administrative exp. commensurate with mental health program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file.

  • Or completion of associates core program in mental health, social work or comparable field (e.g. child & family community services, special education, social or behavioral sciences); 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of mental health consumers/residents; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in mental health programmatic project management.

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in mental health, social work or comparable field (e.g. child & family community services, special education, social or behavioral sciences); 12 mos. trg. in employee training & development (e.g. provides work direction & training); 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in state &/or federal regulations & standards governing care, custody & programming of mental health consumers/residents.

  • Or 6 mos. exp. as Mental Health Administrator 1, 65221.

  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ohio Certified Youth or Family Peer Supporter with personal lived experience and familiarity working with youth/young adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders ages birth through age 21 and their families.
