Energy Services Electrical Technician Position Summary: Position is responsible for the installation, investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of customer inquiries, questions, and requests for LCEC's products and services; including surgeSENSE, Load Management, GenerLink, and energy services. Additional responsibilities are for the promotion, reporting, and administration of all products and services available thru LCEC's Marketing & Energy Services department. This position is also responsible for escalated customer issues, reporting, investigation, and closing of customer requests and inquiries, per our service standards.
Energy Services Electrical Technician Position Responsibilities:
Installation Technician Function
Perform inspections and troubleshoot company installed products or controllers, such as Load Management, Surge SENSE, Generlink, to customer equipment including HVAC systems, water heaters, pool pumps, meter cans, and electrical panels, for proper operation.
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and create reports relating to inquiries, inspections, and/or trouble calls.
Carry out all job assignments and installation needs according to company safety procedures.
Develop and implement specialized department projects and test studies and provide technical support to the department.
Achieve predetermined monthly and yearly installed goals for the assigned programs and resolve any special or exceptional installation needs according to company safety procedures.
Be available for on-call, emergency work requests and support for after-hour events.
Promote LCEC's products and services to customers, associations, and businesses.
Meet defined service standards.
Communicate technical information and concepts to internal and external customers, including being a representative of the company as a guest speaker, product demonstrator, or subject matter expert (SME).
Promote and educate consumers and colleagues on LCEC's products and services, as well as best practices.
Develop, evaluate, and promote new products and services.
Verify load management receivers and communicate corrective actions as required.
Perform special projects as assigned and work with appropriate team members.
Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC.
Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
Comply with the State of Florida Motor Vehicle Laws, any local, county, or federal ordinances and LCEC Accident Prevention guidelines. Comply with all NEC Safety guidelines and LCEC's Safety Policy.

Energy Advisor Function
Conduct on-site residential and basic commercial energy surveys and advise customers of ways to improve energy efficiency.
Perform energy usage analytics virtually by phone utilizing meter and usage data. Assist customers in identifying usage patterns and abnormalities and provide energy savings tips.
Meet defined service standards related to the completion of onsite and virtual energy advisement.
Communicate technical information and concepts to internal and external customers, including being a representative of the company as a guest speaker, product demonstrator, or subject matter expert (SME).
Promote and educate consumers and colleagues on energy-efficient practices and measures.
Take corrective action and follow-up with appropriate departments if a meter test, rebilling, or additional customer contact is needed.
Provide office support for Energy Services programs, Load Management, surgeSENSE, and GenerLink.
