Energy Services Analyst will support the Energy department in efforts to minimize energy usage and expense. They will be responsible for the day to day administrative management of utilities nationwide. Compile, manage and utilize data sets to drive continued improvement.


Energy/ Utility Administration

  • Serve as primary contact for utilities nationwide. Establish and discontinue utility service for direct billed locations. Assist in communication and investigations for all power outages- planned and unplanned events.

  • Coordinate, review and validate landlord billed utilities & collect usage data for integration into data analysis platform. Supply tenant bill-back invoice information monthly.

  • Administer the energy data platform, including usage reporting, utility invoice auditing and reconciliation, benchmarking tool, and data management.

  • Oversee the utility bill auditing process- consolidations, errors and recovery. Review bi-weekly utility payment consolidations: highlight & investigate high percent increase or decrease year over year. Follow up on and resolve utility exception reports and consumption inconsistencies.

  • Manage utility bond & security deposit applications, requirements, reduction applications, and coordinate with internal finance partners.

  • Provide administrative & analytical support to the team for deregulated energy activities. Assist in supply contract exchange & filings, administration and tracking, on-going regulated rate analysis.

Energy Management System (EMS) Support

  • Utilize EMS systems to trouble shoot comfort issues in stores and corporate facilities.

  • Adjust, communicate, and monitor the EMS schedules planning/programming- per regular store operations calendar.

  • Complex controls service call troubleshooting, tracking to completion & resolution.

  • Coordinate with Burlington's IT to maintain EMS network connectivity & individual user license access.

  • Support coordination of EMS contractors to manage onsite repairs, EMS changes and testing. Joint responsibility for annual EMS expense budget management.

Energy Data Analytics & Support

  • Serve as primary contact for compiling energy usage, demand and billing data. Manage benchmarking reports, EMS & utility data for project savings calculations.

  • Calculate monthly store energy usage intensity's and perform standard analytics- trend analysis, top and bottom performing locations, trends, etc. Perform before and after analysis of kW & kWh for projects undergoing major projects.

  • Review and analyze monthly real-time monitoring data sets from EMS vendors: identify stores that are underperforming, anomalies, and cross-reference vs. repair orders.

Utility Rebate Program Management

  • Oversee the rebate process for all corporate initiatives.

  • Coordinate between rebate processing vendor and utilities for rebate applications.

  • Rebate submittal/ application coordination: data gathering, planning & analysis, and specification gathering for new technology, plan scanning and filing as needed.

  • Manage annual rebate revenue tracking and coordinate with internal finance partners.

Education: Associate's degree; or equivalent from a college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses/Certification/Registration: none required

Experience: Minimum two (2) year related work experience. Utility and/or energy management experience preferable.

Skills and Abilities: MS Office. Must be able to accept direction and work well with fellow associates. Must possess good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with outside vendors and associates at all levels of the organization. Position demands high level of performance focusing on results.
