Responsible for executing the Rebate Management process for Hussmann. Drive business growth by executing and improving on established, easy-to-access rebate processes that add value for the Hussmann Sales Teams, Channel Partners, and Customers. Leverage the rebate process to enable more project wins through improved ROIs, process ease that saves time, enhanced project scopes, and potential for additional funds to spend in the future. Responsible for executing on rebate documentation with Utilities and Program Administrators, maintaining internal documentation, following up to ensure each project continues moving forward quickly, and communicating with internal Sales Professionals as needed. Responsible for tracking Rebate Program KPIs, processing customer rebate payments and producing rebate status reports as needed by customers or internal Hussmann personnel.

  • Execute on current Rebate Management Process by:

  • Ensuring that the process is up to date, calling out specific actions required by all parties involved.

  • Modifying process, with input from Energy Analyst when improvements are needed to ensure efficiency

  • Ensuring that annual Rebate Management KPIsare achieved.

  • Maintaining an up to date Rebate Tracker file to provide a quick status of every rebate in pipeline

  • Providing monthly update reports to our customers with multisite rebate projects that are professional, accurate, and timely

  • Providing monthly cash flow reports to internal Finance Manager.

  • Calculating and Requesting accurate payments to customers and suppliers in a timely manner.

  • Assisting Energy Rebate Analyst with the execution required paperwork for rebates, incentives, or grants and following up on rebate/grant provider to help push projects through to completion.

  • Perform calculations as required for energy savings of various alternatives and document/classify each of the various calculations for ease of retrieval and re-purposing to streamline operation; source calculations to application engineers or HSI as required.

  • Proactively gather and document rebate information from Utilities, as well as incentives and grants from State & Federal governments, across North America and Canada on a regular basis and provide updates to applicable Sales Teams/Channel Partners to leverage in their sales process (highlight rebate-rich areas and new/sunsetting rebate offerings)

  • Manage Hussmann's participation in utility Trade Alliances: submit and maintain record of applications, ensure standardization across applications, provide oversight/support to ensure consistency across sales teams executing on Trade Alliances, manage annual renewal process where applicable, and support Trade Ally agreement requests & associated responsibilities.

  • Work with Technical Specialists and application engineers to develop and validate any calculations needed to maximize rebate opportunities while reducing overall Hussmann risk with focus on accuracy

  • Develop and deliver presentations related to Hussmann's Rebate Management Services at "lunch and learns", webinars, internal Sales meetings, or customer meetings as needed.

  • Develop and nurture positive working relationships and communications with Hussmann Sales & Operations teams and Channel Partners and leverage Hussmann network where possible to support efficiency and growth.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Energy Field

  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience

  • 2 years industry experience (refrigeration, energy, utility REQUIRED)

  • People management experience a must

  • Advanced knowledge of energy management, building systems (HVAC, lighting) and refrigeration PREFERRED

  • Experience managing utility rebates for energy efficient solutions PREFERRED

  • Knowledge of Hussmann products and services PREFERRED

  • Understanding of electric, gas and water utilities (rebate programs, trade ally programs, utility rates, etc)

  • Ability to understand and apply difficult technical concepts as well as basic algebraic equations.

  • Experience estimating energy savings and documenting assumptions

  • Experience working with external customers and matrix organizations

  • Experience working with teams

  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and collaborate with internal and external team players to create a solution to meet client needs

  • Strong organizational, written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Expert with Excel (including work with Pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint to collect, interpret and present data

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities

  • Must be detail oriented & a self-starter with ability to identify & execute upon business needs with limited direction

  • The ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
