Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a results-oriented Energy Program Manager in Lyndhurst, VA.

We specialize in building some of the largest, most complex, and highest efficiency systems in the nation.

Job Role: The Energy Program Manager is responsible for delivering innovative strategies to optimize the efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of some of the largest refrigeration systems and industrial warehouses in the nation. This role will work to develop energy models and provide feedback to the product development team. This position will drive new business acquisition and create positive customer impacts that help reduce their energy usage and overall carbon footprint. This role will be regularly interacting with customers and their refrigeration systems to identify energy anomalies, detect mechanical problems, and work with the customer to optimize their refrigeration systems; ultimately reducing environmental impact and cost.

Key Duties:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy to enhance energy efficiency and reduce usage in industrial refrigeration systems, aligning with the company's sustainability goals.

  • Identify opportunities for selling new business and drive sales of energy-efficient products and services to new and existing clients.

  • Provide efficiency-focused instruction and training for customers.

  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot complex technical systems.

  • Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand customer needs, industry trends, and regulatory requirements for energy optimization in industrial refrigeration.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and enhance energy-efficient products and solutions, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge technologies.

  • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to ensure product alignment with company goals and customer needs.

  • Engage with customers to understand their energy management challenges, gather feedback, and refine product offerings.

  • Track product performance, focusing on key energy metrics such as consumption, efficiency gains, and ROI for customers.

  • Ensure all products meet industry energy standards and comply with relevant environmental regulations.

  • Stay ahead of trends in energy optimization, identifying opportunities to implement new technologies or methods to further reduce energy consumption in refrigeration systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in energy management, HVAC, or industrial refrigeration.

  • Proven track record of managing energy-efficient products or systems.

  • Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, and natural refrigerants.

  • Knowledge of energy optimization technologies, sustainability practices, and energy regulations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Data-driven decision-making abilities with a focus on delivering measurable results.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

  • Some travel (10-25%) required.

Preferences:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification

  • Professional Engineering license

  • Familiarity with energy monitoring software and IoT integration for industrial systems.

  • Experience with lifecycle analysis and sustainability reporting.

  • Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration industry trends and challenges related to energy usage.
