Energy Analyst/ Engineer

Bala Consulting is seeking an expert in building energy performance to join our team as an Energy Analyst/ Engineer. As an Energy Analyst/ Engineer, you'll be part of the team delivering high performance building energy modeling and sustainability analysis to clients.

In support of the firm's commitment to the MEP 2040 Challenge, you will use your industry knowledge and be integral to driving decarbonization efforts by acting as a consultant to your teammates and clients and provide guidance for energy compliance issues and utilize data to support energy and economic decision making.We are looking for candidates that have a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the firm. Primary responsibilities will include: Whole building energy modeling using IES-VE.

Energy efficiency measure analysis Net Zero Energy/Carbon road mapping Green building certification support (LEED, WELL, etc) Renewable energy analysis Incentive and rebate program support Electrification consulting Life Cycle Cost Analysis Energy Auditing Understanding of local and national energy codes and policies Consultation related to sustainability strategies, energy efficiency measures, innovative technologies, voluntary rating standards, codes, industry trends, etc. Develop energy strategies on projects relating to high performance HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and electrical/lighting systems. Keep up to date on new and existing tools, sustainability strategies and energy efficiency measures Skills:

Ability to read, review, and evaluate Architectural and Engineering drawings and visualize three-dimensional models Familiarity with design tools such as Revit Basic understanding of proper system selection and applicable building codes Knowledge of LEED and WELL design principles LEED accredited and WELL accredited or on track to achieving accreditation standards, codes, industry, and trends Strong communicator, both written and verbal Agencies must obtain advance written approval from Bala Consulting Engineer's HR/Recruiting Department to submit resumes. This approval must be in the form of a valid fully executed contract for service as well as a request to submit candidates to a specific job opening. Bala Consulting Engineers will not pay a fee to any Agency that does not have such agreement in place, or for positions for which candidates have not been specifically requested.
