Performs advanced (senior-level) computer programming and system administration work. Performs complex development work to oversee, analyze, design, develop, modify, test, implement and maintain applications or tools to be used by the DFPS Enterprise Services teams. Work involves coordinating the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of systems such as but not limited to: Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune (Endpoint Manager), and Azure AD. DFPS is seeking a highly skilled systems administrator to join our Endpoint Administrative team. This position may supervise the work of others and works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Job Functions:

Develops, analyzes, and maintains system code for agency tools, system design procedures, and quality standards.

  • Develops, tests, deploys, and maintains custom code for agency tools and processes.

  • Documents and communicates results of all testing and deployment of tools and code, including reasons for disapprovals when applicable.

  • Processes software testing requests, mobile app research, analysis, testing of custom developed applications.

Provide leadership and guidance to the DFPS IT Endpoint Administrative Team

  • Track the progress of projects and tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.

  • Work closely with IT leadership teams to align IT strategies with agency goals.

  • Creates and provides regular status updates to IT leadership or clients.

  • Oversees and works with team members to performs system administration of various environments: Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, GPO & policy management, SCCM, Intune, VDI infrastructure, Mobile Device Management systems, etc.

  • Cross trains in other system areas to provide backup support, as needed.

Oversee the administration of Intune

  • Leads the configuration and management of agencies Microsoft Intune environment.

  • Ensures Intune policies align with agency security standards and compliance.

  • Collaborates with other teams to integrate Intune with other systems and applications.

Oversee the mitigation of agency security vulnerabilities

  • Investigates, analyzes, and resolves security incidents

  • Develop and implement proactive measures to prevent security vulnerabilities.

  • Collaborates with other teams to implement changes to resolve security vulnerabilities.

  • Stays current with industry trends and emerging threats to enhance security.

Oversees and provides guidance in troubleshooting and solving complex problems related to system software and hardware incident and problem calls, and in the processing of service requests and tasks.

  • Oversees and provides escalated Tier-3 support, monitors and follows up on trouble tickets with other support staff and vendors and provides remote access troubleshooting.

Recommends to management systems technology solutions and enterprise-related hardware and software standards.

  • Provides analysis, consultation and recommendations to agency leadership on key technology issues affecting the agency and researches emerging trends, ideas and evaluates new technologies for implementation.

  • Keeps informed of the latest advancements in IT to ensure the smooth transition of the agency's information technology and business requirements.

  • Leads and guides technical staff on established processes and best practices in areas of expertise, including testing, security, accessibility, implementation, and other internal IT standards.

Performs related work as assigned.

  • Provides on-call support in 24/7 environment, as assigned.

May supervise the work of others.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current Microsoft platforms.

  • Scripting knowledge using common languages such as PowerShell

  • Knowledge of Windows server administration.

  • Knowledge of systems, technical services, and end-user computing.

  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and mobile apps as it applies to endpoint computing.

  • Skill in developing technical documentation.

  • Ability to work independently and within groups and manage multiple activities and/or tasks simultaneously and accurately.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to provide technical information to individuals with various levels of technical knowledge.

  • Ability to analyze systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, and to supervise the work of others.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:

Certification in area of expertise preferred. Initial Selection Criteria:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems is generally preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another. Additional Information:
