Endo Procedural Tech

Position Summary: The Endoscopy Technician is a person who has completed an endoscopy training process to function as a member of the Endoscopy team and reports to a registered nurse (R.N). The Endoscopy Procedural Technician functions in the procedure room to assist with room set-up, turnover and procedure details assisting the RN and physician. Additional tasks include scope reprocessing, room cleaning, and stocking as well as assisting with patient admission and discharge. # The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications is required for all Patient Care area Positions. Position Requirements: Minimum Knowledge, Skills

Abilities Required:

Ability to read and communicate in the English language.

Education:

1)###### Certified as Nursing Assistant by the Maryland Board of Nursing or; 2)###### Operating Room Endoscopy Technician with documented on-the-job experience. 3)###### Completion of the SGNA GI Associates Program as GI Technical Specialist within 2 years. # # Experience: 1)###### 5 years of acute care experience preferred. 2)###### Experience with computers is required.
