Provides thought leadership regarding solution design, architecture, and integration across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the deployment planning level. Serve as the highest level technical expert in Desktop engineering.
Designs and implements solutions for Client Technologies, (e.g. Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Office 2010, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, McAfee Antivirus), Client Hardware (Mac, Intel based).Designs, support, and troubleshoot the Windows 7 x64 operating systems to host a variety of Domestic and Global applications.
Analyzes requirements specified by the User community/Business Partners and translate them into high level designs, engineering solution and ultimately deployment plans.Creates Architectural Blueprints, supporting Business Clients, proof of concept, creating and presenting roadmap.
Researches and develops new technologies and procedures to further streamline/automate processes.
Provides insight on new directions based on industry standards and new technologies.Creates, Release Management Plan and Version Control Strategy for the products.
Creates, leverages, and troubleshoots script/based tools; (e.g. VBScript, WMI, PowerShell, AutoIT, etc.) to perform automated and/or complex tasks; and/or to resolve issues related to Desktop Engineering.
Creates, maintains and updates corporate images using tools such as Ghost, Ghost Explorer, IMAGEX, MDT, DISM and USMT; to confirm with industry standards and best practices.Administers and manipulates the AD- GPO environment leveraging various RSAT utilities, such as GPMC and ADUC.
Performs technical oversight for peer reviews, technical project deliverable and certify engineering solution for the production deployment.Suggests and recommends better ways of improving the quality of work
Oversees Global Tier III escalations from the Operational Team; and also liaise with the vendors for various End Use Computing products and services.
