Informatica is looking for an End User Experience Manager who will work within the Information Technology organization to provide leadership for those involved in the development, design, and optimization of useful and compelling experiences for our business users. This role will define and facilitate the realization of IT's employee enablement strategy and vision to improve our end users' awareness, adoption, understanding, and satisfaction with IT's services.

The End User Experience Manager is a leading member of the IT End User Experience team, guides End User Experience Analysts and Communication Managers, and coordinates with IT service owners and other business partners to ensure Informatica's employees are equipped with effective resources that improve their productivity. This role reports to the IT Director and is based in Austin, TX.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the team's employee enablement strategy in close collaboration with stakeholders for alignment with end user needs.

  • Support project management for IT initiatives by ensuring quality and conformance to methods, policies, standards, operational deadlines, and scoped requirements.

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the team while fostering a culture of innovation and a user-centered approach towards deliverables.

  • Manage a fully remote staff with a focus on their day-to-day delivery and workload, long-term performance and career development, and overall team building.

  • Oversee the quality and delivery of the team's enablement content, training, and communications.

  • Define and execute policies, specifications, and standard operating protocols within the team's responsible services.

  • Establish, monitor, and report on metrics related to the success and effectiveness of the team's responsible services.

  • Stay on-budget with the team's resources and activities by tracking and organizing small pieces of the overall budget.

  • Manage the team's vendor relationships, contract negotiations, new vendor selection processes, renewal solutions, maintenance, and support.

  • Stay up to date and bring best practices and emerging trends from information technology, user experience, technical communication, instructional design, and other relevant industry areas to inspire and enhance the team's work.

Your Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in people management or team leadership.

  • Must be able to "put themselves in the shoes" of the end user as part of understanding their direct and indirect needs.

  • Must be able to understand end user needs and develop an enablement strategy to address them.

  • Must be able to grasp technical information to conversate with business stakeholders and distill to staff.

  • Must be well-organized and excel at prioritizing to meet deadlines.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and team player skills.

  • Must be self-driven with the ability to motivate and inspire their team.

  • Must be able to work in multi-regional and cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in IT, UX, technical communication, instructional design, internal or corporate communication, and/or a related field.

  • Experience with managing vendors, services, and/or budgets.

  • Experience with typical productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Zoom video conferencing.

  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira.

  • Experience with content creation, management, and strategy for a large, multi-national internal audience.
