Education: Two years of formal neurodiagnostics training.
Graduation from an accredited school of electroneurodiagnostics strongly preferred. Registered/certified in a neurodiagnostics field. Demonstrated competence in at least one additional area of neurodiagnostics: Evoked Potentials to include SSPs, BAERs, and VEPs, Interoperative Monitoring, Nerve Conduction Studies, SPECT scans, WADAs, LTEM, AFTs and Tilt table with video EEGs.
Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in neurodiagnostics procedures or a minimum of two years' experience in surgical monitoring/CNIM.
Additional skills required: Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age.
Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Maintain CPR. Must be able to identify basic cardiac rhythm and rate.
Must be able to rotate call independently. Must be able to interpret basic encephalographic brain patterns; normal and abnormal.
