Perspecta has an immediate need for an End Point Threat Management Senior Engineer in Herndon, VA.

  • Install, configure, operate and maintain McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) of different sizes and any number of ePO-managed endpoint products.

  • Provide support in the capture of ePO and ePO-managed product data elements from database queries.

  • Provide guidance and direction to Government customers using best practice software deployment strategies using existing tools like SCCM.

  • Balance McAfee endpoint product policy configuration and data burdens with both endpoint platform performance and ePO console & database performance.

  • Act as an escalation point for ePO and ePO-managed endpoint product issues from either Government or internal customers; escalate to senior engineers or McAfee as needed.

  • Synthesize task requirements with McAfee ePO and ePO-managed endpoint product capabilities to achieve a robust solution.

  • Create technical documents, drawings, how-to guides and other deliverables.

  • Adhere to security best practices and comply with government standards.

  • Analyze mission requirements and make recommendations.

  • Develop secure architecture designs based on security regulations.

  • Communicate and present recommendations to senior engineers or managers in written and oral format.

  • Maintain knowledge of security regulations, best practices, countermeasures, compliance standards and current threats.

  • Support Continuity of Operations planning and disaster recovery.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 6 years' of related IT experience.

  • 3 years' McAfee experience.

  • Experience supporting Government organizations in a security-engineering role.

  • Solid experience with many aspects of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator including Agent Handlers, Repositories, McAfee Agents, Disaster Recovery, operating in FIPS mode, Policy Assignment Rules, System Sorting, Tags.

  • Prior experience operating and maintaining McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator deployments of various sizes from very small to very large.

  • Experience in successfully supporting ePO and SQL databases, including troubleshooting performance issues, role-based access, using server tasks, tags, queries, performing routine maintenance and disaster recovery.

  • Considerable experience in supporting two or more ePO-managed endpoint products including Application Control, Change Control, Policy Auditor, Virus Scan Enterprise, Endpoint Security, Host IPS, Drive Encryption/EEPC, File and Removable Media Protection/EEFF, Data Loss Prevention, Device Control, Management of Native Encryption.

  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking and its impact on managing endpoint products from ePO.
