Primarily responsible for providing professional emergency and non-emergency treatment and/or transport in the pre-hospital or hospital setting. Conducts patient care in compliance with the current Georgia Scope of Practice for the EMT-R provider level.
Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare. High school graduate or GED equivalent.# Completion of Emergency Medical Responder training program (EMT-R).##Current Georgia EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) certification.# Valid Georgia driver#s license.# Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. CPT training within 9 months of hire.
The ability to physically lift and assist in the transport of patients. Ability to effectively communicate through oral and written means.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Establish and maintain working relationships with employees, volunteers, and management. Be able to perform prolonged work under adverse emergency conditions involving physical and mental stress. Be able to think clearly and use independent judgment in the course of daily work.
Be able to use and operate diagnostic and patient care equipment. The ability to drive an ambulance in a safe and secure manner. Familiarity to utilize and perform job duties in appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, and mask.# # Successful candidates will be subject to criminal background and drug screens.
