Position Title: EMT-B/ED Tech Department: Ambulance
Provides the practice and delivery of safe, effective, ethical and culturally competent emergency care to patients of all ages in emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury.
Key accountabilities include fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships; making decisions in patient care/triage; ensure smooth shift operations; facilitate a seamless transition for the next shift that includes exchange of essential information; promote evidence-based practice through conduct of practice research.
Performs technical procedures according to GMC DeWitt Ambulance protocols and function within their Scope of Practice in accordance with the Iowa Department of Public Health, Bureau of EMS. # Report To: Director
Guidance: The job requires the provision of occasional guidance and training to others. The job does not have formal or official supervisory responsibilities.
