We are seeking an EMS Education Coordinator to:

  • Help maintain the Emergency Education Center's (EEC) status in the State of Wisconsin as an American Heart Association approved Training Center for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS).

  • Act as liaison to the AHA.

  • Participate in coordinating activities with other faculty in the EEC Program. This includes assessment of educational needs, development of training objectives and curriculum, and monitoring evaluation and feedback.


Preferred Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum Two years teaching experience in American Health Association Provider courses.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum Wisconsin State licensure as a Registered Nurse or Wisconsin State licensure as an EMT-Paramedic. Current AHA Instructor in BLS, ACLS, PALS, ACLS-EP or must obtain within six months from date of hire.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of and experience in American Heart Association operations/policies and procedures as pertain to administration of a community training center.

  • Capability to provide leadership for all organizations and personnel affiliated with the EEC as pertains to TC activities

  • Considerable knowledge of and experience in emergency medical services/critical care theory, skills, and practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as ability to formally present to both large and small groups.

  • Ability to work in a changing/dynamic work environment.

  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of the scope of practice in all levels of EMS.

  • Ability to educate all levels of clinical, non-clinical and EMS personnel.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This 60% FTE part-time 24 hour per week position, typically Monday

  • Friday, 8:00 am

  • 4:30 am, there may be need for occasional weekend and evening hours. Hours may vary depending on the need of the department.

VIEW JOBS 10/2/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-31T00:00 The Instructional Program Manager (IPM) is responsible for the administration of the ACGME accredited programs: Interventional Radiology Integrated Residency, Interventional Radiology Independent Residency, Interventional Radiology Fellowship, Nuclear Medicine Residency, and Neuroradiology Fellowship. This position collaborates with the Program Director (PD) in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements. The IPM functions as a liaison between the PD, residents/fellows, GME Office, participating sites, and other departments, and must be knowledgeable about patient care/operational activities at the various training sites in which their residents/fellows rotate. The IPM is responsible for programs approved for up to 9 residents and 7 fellows and will cross train to help cover all trainees. * Coordinate educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, etc.) that support the program's curriculum and adhere to ACGME requirements. * Provides guidance to residents/fellows and faculty on program and GME policies, and non-clinical aspects of the program. * Establishes and disseminates annual rotation, clinic and call schedules ensuring compliance with program and ACGME requirements. * Manages dissemination and completion of resident/fellow, faculty, and program evaluations. * Coordinates accreditation activities including ACGME Site Visits, Internal Reviews, annual program reviews, clinical competency committee assessments, etc. * Manages duty hour and evaluation reports and ensures reporting/completion compliance. * Tracks resident/fellow training time in MedHub for Medicare reporting. * Ensures GME policies and procedures are enforced, and that departmental and program policies and procedures are created and enforced. * Coordinates the resident/fellow recruitment, selection, and onboarding process. * Assists the PD and faculty in planning, developing, and implementing residency/fellowship program quality improvement projects. * Ensures that the residents are in active standing with the American Board of Radiology to maintain eligibility for the core exam.
