  • Assist with administering a proficiency assessment and class evaluation at the end of each session. Be available to go outside of their assigned area to assist end users.

    Must be available to quickly respond to end user needs on site. Identifies and reports resistance to change as related to the application(s) to training director. Responsible for keeping current with system changes and enhancements.

    Responsible for understanding, but not necessarily supporting, other IT products and their integration into clinical workflows. Forwards ideas to improve the effectiveness of the training to the Principal Trainer and/or Director. May be asked to assist in testing the training environments.

    Assists Principal trainer in process improvement efforts. Actively participates in customer service. Escalates encountered situations to the responsible area with detailed and accurate information.

    Demonstrates the ability to work independently. Performs other duties as assigned. Tracks time to work efforts assigned.

    Credentialed within 90 days in at least 1 application, and within 6 months, credentialed in 2 more applications. Responsible for conducting training for clinical and non-clinical end users under the direction of a Training Director and support of a Principal Trainer(s).

Associate degree preferred or 2 years IT experience with no degree. Healthcare experience preferred, clinical experience desired.

Skills: Must be able to train physicians, clinical and non-clinical staff on Epic applications. Able to troubleshoot basic PC issues. Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and issues.

Strong "people skills", excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and team skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and any other applicable systems. Ability to adapt to changing curriculum required.

BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.

Effectively interacts with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers while maintaining the standards of care and code of ethics as detailed by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). The ATC is also responsible for community education. This position will cover area community outreach events and Public Schools athletic events. Main Responsibilities: * Communicates with medical and allied health professionals regarding patients' progress, needs, return to activities, and discharge planning * Provides learner appropriate instruction in injury prevention, and injury management for the patient to use independently. Adapts conventional techniques to meet the needs of patients * Applying and Educating Patients in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) * Assist in patient triage * Maintains proper documentation on all patients and services performed * Facilitates the development of outreach programs and services to meet the needs of the community within budget constraints. * Attend area athletic events at the local schools and community * Performs athletic testing protocols * Maintains training areas, assuring the proper supplies and equipment are available, organized and neatly kept * Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements * Build quality relationships with patients, physicians/providers, and co-workers Education/Experience/Knowledge: * Graduate with a BS/MS of an accredited Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. * 0-3 years clinical experience * Must be licensed in the State of Tennessee and CPR certified * Must possess clinical skills * Must possess excellent communication skills * Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others Physical/Mental Demands: Combination of walking, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
