As an Employment Specialist, you will support the CLEVER (Career Ladder for Educated and/or Vocationally Experienced Refugees) program at LCSNW towards achieving desired program outcomes by supporting job seekers from refugee and immigrant communities in securing career re-entry opportunities. This individual constantly develops and strengthens the local workforce development network by building relationships with non-profits and other agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Support a caseload of employment program clients from refugee and immigrant communities in securing livable employment, obtaining career advancement opportunities, and/or providing job readiness training.
Enroll clients, develop strengths-based employment plans, and provide services to reduce client employment barriers.
Document services provided in case notes and complete program-required documentation.
Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with partners, including employers, government contacts, and community-based organizations.
Maintain compliance with all relevant program/department requirements, including and not limited to adhering to all record-keeping and reporting requirements.
Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members and facilitate the development of a positive staff support network.
Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in delivering client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served.

REQUIREMENTS: 1 year of related experience; working with immigrant and refugee populations or limited English proficiency clients
Lived experience that enhances relatability to clients being served
HS diploma or equivalent; substantial relevant experience will be considered in place of degree
Credentials may be required depending on individual program or location requirements.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written, and other language prefer
Basic mastery of business applications and productivity suites
Demonstrates resilience, awareness and self-regulation in navigating challenges, conflict and obstacles/barriers.
Thrives in a diverse and multicultural environment; works with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to enhance end-user experiences throughout the service lifecycle
Demonstrates exceptional commitment to serving and advocating for diverse and marginalized populations
Successfully completes tasks in a moderately noisy environment
Interacts with others and performs tasks in-person and through the use of technology, with moderate periods of stationary activity and moderate periods of increased physical activity including and not limited to periods of standing and walking
Moves equipment/materials weighing up to (x) pounds
Travels between worksites regularly; responsible for transporting clients in personal and/or agency vehicle, which requires valid driver's license, auto insurance, and motor vehicle records clearance
Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings, client home/community settings, outdoor settings in varying weather conditions, and faith-based settings such as churches
Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program
