Comfortable completing outreach and marketing activities to recruit employers and grow employment opportunities for assigned caseload. Speaks and writes clearly and informatively with a diverse range of stakeholders in a variety of mediums.
Solve practical problems where only limited standardization exists.
Remains calm, patient, and supportive in stressful or time-sensitive situations.
Accurately assess the urgency of an issue and respond accordingly.

Computer savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office programs, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook.
Client Development and Support
Carries a caseload of 25 or more clients.
Completes intake interview with clients to obtain pertinent data including an evaluation of clients' career needs and funding requirements.
Obtains and evaluates all pertinent information about each assigned client.
Identifies and evaluates clients' strengths and barriers to employment and refers the clients to internal and external resources, as applicable.
Provides one-on-one job readiness training and/or teaches group job readiness training classes on topics such as resume and cover letter preparation, interviewing skills, networking, job search techniques, and conflict resolution.
Identifies employment opportunities using a variety of employment related resources.
Refers clients to job opportunities, sets up interview appointments, and follows up with clients and employers after interviews.
Communicates regularly with clients' via telephone, letter, or email.
Initiates telephone and/or face-to-face contacts with potential employers and referral sources to introduce and explain Agency services, and learn about current job openings.
Contacts existing referral sources and continuously develops new relationships with community organizations for future referrals.
Maintains accurate and updated records and files of employer and client contacts in paper and the Agency's/Program's client databases.
Follows prescribed safety procedures. Acts to ensure safety for self, co-workers and clients.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferably in business, health services or other related fields
One or more years of experience working with adults with disabilities.
Must be fluent in American Sign Language
Experience with job readiness techniques preferred i.e. resume writing, interviewing skills.
As this position requires site visits to locations which may or may not be accessible by public transportation, must be able to drive, have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable access to a reliable vehicle to travel in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
