Responsible fordeveloping job opportunities and linking qualified participants seekingemployment with local employers.
Formulates job development strategies utilizing studies of labor/job, educational and economic trends in the labor/job market in Greater Cleveland, Ohio.
Identifies employer and staffing requirements.
Develops and maintains files on employers containing comprehensive job development and placement data.
Develops and maintains relationships with employers to obtain timely knowledge of job openings.
Maintains an organized system of tracking job placements and/or referrals including employers' and persons referred.
Works closely with instructors, job readiness specialist, and other staff to identify employer needs for special or custom training.
Collaborates with other agencies to exchange information and share job openings and referrals.
Prepares periodic analyses of job market trends for departmental assessment.
Attends local job fairs and other community events as required.
Attend staff meetings, conferences and seminars as required.
Performs other functions as assigned to contribute to the efficiency of the agency and department.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Administration.
Two (2) years experience in job development.
Ability to represent the agency at community meetings and events.
Sound understanding of different industries and the local labor market.
Extensive knowledge of community resources.
Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Computer skills with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software packages.
Bilingual candidate preferred.
