Description of Duties/Essential Functions Benefits Supplemental Questions

Under general supervision, provides customer service and guidance to clients related to the Internet based labor exchange system, Illinois Job Link (IJL); reviews and analyzes job seeker and employer accounts to determine eligibility for applicable Employment Service programs; provides advice and assistance on functions and services provided by IJL; reviews existing records for accuracy. Responsible for providing prompt and accurate responses, as well as quality customer service, in accordance with established agency goals.

Minimum Requirements:
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of four years college with major courses in the social sciences; or requires four years of work experience in program research evaluation or design with two of the years at the professional level. Requires working knowledge of US Department of Labor; Illinois Employment and Unemployment Insurance laws, rules and regulations as it relates to Illinois JobLink.

Requires working knowledge of automated system capabilities within IDES. Requires the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing; ability to organize and analyze pertinent data. Requires ability to use a personal computer with related software programs.

Minimum Requirements: Preferably requires a master's degree in social work; or a master's degree in a related human service field, supplemented by one year of directly related professional casework/case management experience; or requires a bachelor's degree in social work and one year of directly related professional casework/case management experience; or requires a bachelor's degree in a related human service field and two years of directly related professional casework/case management experience; requires physical, visual, and auditory ability to carry out assigned duties. The college or university issuing a bachelor's or master's degree must be accredited, and the degree program in social work must be approved by the Council on Social Work Education. The directly related professional casework/case management experience must be related to family preservation, family reunification, adoption, youth development, counseling, and advocacy services or a related field.
