Employment Community Outreach Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Employment Outreach Coordinator (EOC) is responsible for representing the organization at outreach events, trade shows, schools, and the broader community. The EOC is expected to build relationships within the community to foster partnerships with employers, schools, civic organizations, mental health boards, and other relevant entities. Responsibilities include maintaining a Department of Rehabilitation caseload for Transitional students, facilitating Job Exploration classes, participating in students' Individual Educational Plan meetings, and conducting Vocational Assessments as needed. Moreover, the EOC will organize and participate in Future Planning Expo events at local educational institutions and present at Mental Health Boards when required.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and facilitate Job Exploration classes

• Participate in Individual Educational Plan meetings

• Conduct Vocational Assessments

• Host and participate in Future Planning Expo events

• Collaborate with various stakeholders for students' smooth transition to employment services

• Forge relationships with community partners

• Participate in community outreach activities

• Offer education and awareness of organization's services

• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies

• Support the organization's strategic priorities, mission, and values

Requirements:

• Ability to work independently with strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and public speaking

• Understanding of Mental Health boards

• Knowledge of Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS)

• Networking skills to establish community partnerships

• Willingness to travel to different locations within DuPage and surrounding counties

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Valid Driver's License

• Job Development certification

• Complete CANTS, LEADS, HCWR, and State Police checks

• Bilingual skills preferred

Experience:

• 5+ years of related field experience required

• Minimum 2-3 years working with local high schools, Chambers of Commerce, DRS, and other relevant organizations preferred

Salary

$45,000 Annually
