As an Employment Coach, you will have more than just a job - you will have the opportunity to directly impact someones life for the better! You will support individuals with disabilities and match them with activities, volunteer work, interests, and/or employment.

  • Possess a minimum of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Conduct themselves in a professional, responsible and reliable manner
  • Have the motivation to learn new skills and help people
  • Demonstrate honesty and respect
  • Adhere to written support plans for clients
  • Possess a reliable automobile and be willing to transport clients
  • Prior training and/or experience in ABA are a plus!
  • CPR/First Aid and ProAct certification within first two weeks of employment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and lift 25 lbs.
  • Physically assist, guide, and facilitate movement of clients that need assistance (e.g., transfer in/out of wheelchair) and other mobility issues specific to client, and stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Successfully pass a Live Scan DOJ/FBI background check
  • Possess a valid California Driver's license and provide a current driving record issued by the DMV
  • Provide proof of current car insurance
  • Provide High School Diploma and/or other qualifying certificates
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement:
    • Where permitted by applicable law, new hires must have received the COVID-19 vaccine. The Company will consider a reasonable accommodation to qualified employees with disabilities or for a held religious belief.

You will be responsible for interacting with colleagues in a team setting and upholding the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys and staff, and observing confidentiality of client matters.</p><p>THE DAY-TO-DAY:</p><p>On any given day, you will be working with firm partners and business colleagues on a variety of requests and projects. You will:</p><ul><li><p>Draft, input, revise and finalize, routine correspondence, memoranda and other legal documents.</p></li><li><p>File legal documents in federal and state courts, including e-filing in all courts and agencies; prepare documents for service of process; prepare case &quot;shell&quot; documents for use by attorneys.</p></li><li><p>Verify all attachments, exhibits and enclosures are included with transmittal letters/memos.</p></li><li><p>Proofread documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling and grammar.</p></li><li><p>Maintain good public relations with clients.</p></li><li><p>Review all incoming mail, distribute to teams as needed and upload to the DMS.</p></li><li><p>Prepare documents and packages for mail, messenger and overnight delivery.</p></li><li><p>Prepare expense reports, manage vendor invoices, mailings, and request checks as needed.</p></li><li><p>Enter attorney time and send time entry reminders.</p></li><li><p>Process client billing and assist with review and edit of bills as necessary.</p></li><li><p>Schedule appointment and make arrangements for meetings, conferences and travel.</p></li><li><p>Complete client/matter intake forms; request conflicts of interest checks; open new files and prepare files to be closed.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and follow through on requests and projects with other support departments (e.g., word processing, receptionists, file/document clerks, office services).</p></li><li><p>Provide overflow and absence coverage assistance as well as secretarial support for Secretarial Team Members' attorneys.</p></li><li><p>Complete other duties and projects as assigned.</p></li></ul><p>YOU HAVE:</p><ul><li><p>A minimum of 5 years of litigation secretarial experience (Labor and Employment experience a plus).</p></li><li><p>Strong proofreading skills, attention to detail and solid grammar/spelling skills.</p></li><li><p>Legal citation and legal terminology expertise.</p></li><li><p>High degree of proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Outlook, Excel).</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Carpe Diem, Elite, IManage, Chrome River, Forte or similar technology.</p></li><li><p>The ability to organize, prioritize and meet the demands off multiple attorney assignments.</p></li><li><p>Good attendance and punctuality.</p></li><li><p>Flexibility to adjust hours and to work additional hours as necessary to meet operating and business needs</p></li></ul><p>WHAT WE PROVIDE:</p><p>Seyfarth provides competitive salary and benefits at all levels, and our culture embraces the entrepreneurial spirit of its professionals like no other firm.
