Requirements

Oncology Patient Specialist I Requirements Salaries are dependent upon experience. This is a non-exempt position. The minimum rate for this position is $15.89/hour. This position is considered essential personnel.

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years of healthcare patient access experience, or 2 years' experience in healthcare revenue cycle

  • Skilled in using computers, reading comprehension

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English

  • Ability to collect sensitive data, multitask and prioritize critical tasks accurately and timely.

Oncology Patient Specialist II Requirements

Salaries are dependent upon experience. This is a non-exempt position. The minimum rate for this position is $16.84/hour. This position is considered essential personnel.

  • High School Diploma or GED or Associates Degree
    3 years of healthcare patient access experience/healthcare revenue cycle experience, or 3 years related oncology medical office experience.

  • Skilled in using computers, reading comprehension.

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English

  • Ability to collect sensitive data, multitask and prioritize critical tasks accurately and timely.

Oncology Patient Specialist III Requirements

Salaries are dependent upon experience. This is a non-exempt position. The minimum rate for this position is $17.49/hour. This position is considered essential personnel.

  • High School Diploma or GED or Associates Degree

  • 4 years of healthcare patient access experience/healthcare revenue cycle experience, or 4 years related oncology medical office experience

  • Skilled in using computers, reading comprehension.

  • Ability to communicate fluently in English.

  • Ability to collect sensitive date, multitask and prioritize critical task accurately and timely.

To qualify for the GS-8 level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that included: 1) processing personnel data into the National Finance Center (NFC) automated pay system; 2) providing technical advice and guidance to employees and supervisors on various HR practices and processes; 3) applying researching HR policies, procedures, and operations to perform a variety of HR support tasks (i.e., performance management and awards, staffing and classification, benefits, training and/or payroll) or; 4) resolving personnel issues relating to pay, salary increases, onboard dates, and accuracy of data.
