You'll be responsible for overall employer contract loading using various databases and/or source documents. This is a challenging role with serious impact. It's a fast paced, high volume environment that requires you to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on company policies and guidelines. Your accuracy will be vitally important and monitored carefully to ensure our system is correctly coded and that all plan documents are precise.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday

  • Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of (7:00am

  • 5:30pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 185 Asylum St. Hartford, CT.

If you are located in the Hartford, CT area you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

We offer 3+ months of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am

  • 5:00pm, Monday

  • Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

  • All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducting product analysis and implementation

  • Acting as the point person for all PRIME products. Provide support to external customers and team members

  • Providing updates and instructions to other departments regarding new products

  • Loading product details into our systems

  • Write and execute test plan for new product development

  • Contribute to the success of customer implementation through active participation in new business meetings

  • Maintain acceptable and appropriate quality levels and production turnaround times

  • Assist with the development of process improvements for the department

  • Coordinating and participating in the IS/IT business prioritization process and procedures

  • Serve as backup to product process owner/SME - MNRP, ENRP, Dental, Vision, Package Savings, Product Identifier

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent work experience

  • Prior medical healthcare insurance business knowledge

  • Microsoft Outlook - ability to compose, send and receive emails

  • Microsoft Excel - ability to create basic worksheets, filters and sort data.

  • Microsoft Word - ability to create, revise and publish word documents to team sharepoint site

  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree of Arts or Sciences in Business (or higher) in Business
  • COSMOS or UNET experience

  • Excellent oral/written communication skills and presentation skills

  • Ability to grasp new concepts and adapt to changes quickly

As a result, the EMT must be responsive and adaptable to meet customers' expectations. The EMT must adapt to the changes in scope of delivery and practices. This may require adapting to new delivery protocols, or training curriculum to maintain certification. An increasing challenge is adapting to the changing nature of healthcare delivery in the United States. With healthcare reform, regulatory changes, and changing reimbursement, the EMT profession is evolving. The EMT must recognize that an expansion of his/her role is necessary to meet the needs of those individuals served. The role now expands beyond the foundational work of providing compassionate and clinically competent care. The EMT must consider the use of appropriate facilities and understand the reimbursement structure in order to transport the patient to the right facility and ensure payment. The end result decreases customer stress, avoids care delays due to reimbursement constraints, eliminates unnecessary multiple patient transports, and increases customer satisfaction. Growing economic pressures also require the EMT to think of his/her actions and their financial impact. The EMT is often the focal point for interaction with the fire department and other service providers, as well as other responding agencies, such as the police department. To provide successful response, all agency personnel must work together. In addition, the delivery of care is often provided to individuals who are afraid or even panicked. Further, service delivery is being provided in communities with increasingly diverse populations. Finally, changing technology requires the EMT to keep up-to-date with new ways of communicating, documenting and reporting. KEY RELATIONSHIPS Key Internal Customers and Suppliers: * His/her partner, who may be another EMT, a Paramedic or a Nurse * The Communications Center professional who provides them the information they need to respond to calls successfully * Field supervisors, who provide support and guidance on how to perform at his/her best * Clinical personnel, to grow and stay abreast of the current clinical demands in the medical field * Fleet and materials management personnel, who ensure the unit is running properly and stocked appropriately * Peers and colleagues, to regularly share experiences and best practices * Representatives of the human resources function regarding employment concerns * Operations personnel responsible for schedulingKey External Customers and Suppliers * * The paramount relationship for the EMT is with the patient and his/her loved ones, who need assurance and compassion as well as medical care * Works regularly with facility staff who are responsible for receiving patients, providing medical control or direction, and/or prepare patients for transport * Partners with fire, police and other agencies during emergency calls to ensure safe, efficient actions are taken * Has regular contact with the public at large during calls and may also interact with government/regulatory agencies and the media.
