We have a rewarding opportunity for Employee Relations Specialist. In this role, you will perform timely investigations into alleged violations of company policy or law. You will also support and coach managers, and advise employees regarding employee relations issues.
Conduct phone and/or on-site investigations to resolve allegations of harassment, discrimination, misconduct, workplace violence, ethical violations, wage and hour violations, or other potential violations of law or company policies;
Coordinate multiple fact finders when leading investigations that are complex or large in scope
Make recommendations to management based on objective, factual investigative findings regarding the appropriate action to take, ensuring compliance and consistency
Question employees with complaints to determine whether the issue would be better resolved in the field; advise employees on possible courses of action they can take to resolve a conflict
Advise managers regarding employee conduct issues; assist managers with performance documentation to ensure clarity and consistency
Document issues and claims in the Company's electronic tracking system
Ability to travel on short notice as needed
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Human Resources or related field preferred
Minimum of 2 years of Employee Relations experience, or 4 years of HR Generalist experience with Employee Relations responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to research information to arrive at a valid conclusion, then make recommendation and plan of action
Excellent verbal, written, listening communication skills
Good understanding and knowledge of current state and federal employment laws
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; aptitude to learn software as needed
Skilled at problem solving processes and able to manage multiple demands
