The ER Specialist role provides coaching and guidance to both leaders and team members across the enterprise regarding people related challenges. Working in close partnership with Leadership, the ER Specialist is accountable for utilizing superb project management, facilitation, and communication expertise to deliver relevant, effective Employee Relations solutions and produce results while fostering strong business partner relationships. This role will implement human resources programs and provide human resources services, including performance management, employee relations, compliance, and labor relations.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with team members and leaders to resolve Employee Relations and HR issues.

  • Proactively utilizes Employee Relations and HR insights, metrics, and trends to identify barriers to achieving business results/ shares findings, recommendations and leads efforts for improvement.

  • First line of response and direction to Human Resources related inquiries regarding performance management, investigations and other Employee Relations Cases.

  • Maintains knowledge and practices local and federal human resource-related laws and helps to strategically manage Employee Relations processes, programs and policies.

  • Serves as role model, ambassador, and educator of company values, Vision and Standards of Conduct.

  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Manages work maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in an HR generalist role.

  • General knowledge of employment laws and employee relations practices.

  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

  • Effective verbal and written communication.

  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer an opportunity to join our dedicated Human Resources team as a Director, Employee Relations The Director, Employee Relations will be responsible for building and sustaining positive, engaged work environments for team members throughout Aspen Practices, Scheduling Centers, and Corporate Support Centers. They will partner with HRBPs, Business leaders, and learning and development to develop and execute sound polices and best practices that mitigates/minimizes risk. This individual will lead the Manager Support Center (Employee Relations COE) and a small and mighty team of Employee Relations Specialists. They are a hands on leader – not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get projects done – and approach work with a data-driven, analytical mindset. They are able to translate data into a visual representation to help decision makers understand current state and key levers to target in order to improve the work environment. A successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and changing environment. Responsibilities * Collaboratively define and execute Employee Relations strategy and roadmap with key internal stakeholders * Inspire, develop, and lead a highly skilled group of ER specialist * Manage Employee Relations processes, including separations, severance/unemployment, and restructuring activities * Establish alignment on ER process, such as separation and restricting process, where applicable * Collaborate with decision makers, HRBPs, and legal on critical elements of compliance and investigation outcomes * Create and manage Team Member Handbooks and related documentation to ensure all sites are following constant standards set forth for creating, editing, and publishing these documents * Manage the Manager Support Center and provide coaching to front line leaders and practice owners * Encourage the team to drive innovation helping solve business and team member problems * Stay current (personally and through development of your team) with HR trends, employment law and diversity and inclusion landscapes Minimum Education and Experience * Education Level: Bachelor's degree required; Advance degree or other specialized training in labor/employment relations a significant plus * 8-10 years of progressive experience in applied roles that include Employee Relations, HRBP, Diversity and Inclusion * Successful record of creating, improving and executing programs at scale, ability to drive and measure effectiveness and high level of customer satisfaction * Ability to develop or modify policy and procedures to drive positive work environments at all levels on the organization * Strong team, interpersonal and persuasion skills, enabling individuals to establish influential partnerships working with peers, senior leader, and across organizational lines * Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, assumes leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances * Ability to handle confidential information and escalate issues when appropriate * Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and able to change direction quickly About Aspen Dental Management, Inc.Aspen Dental-branded practices are supported by ADMI, a dental support organization that provides non-clinical business support to licensed, independent dentists.
