We are searching for an Employee Relations Manager. The position reports to the Director, Employee & Labor Relations and is responsible for managing the resolution of employee relations matters related to disciplinary actions, conflicts and interpretation of established policies and administrative practices in a timely and effective manner.
Conduct in depth investigations of significant issues/claims such as discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and other matters that involve complex, time-consuming and/or difficult efforts/concerns.
Prepare detailed investigative reports and maintains comprehensive records in our database system.
Provides training to leadership on employment matters and lead special projects aimed at improving organizational processes and practices in employment-related activities.
Provide support, coaching, and advisement to the HR Business Partners concerning employee relations and performance management matters.
Assist in revising and/or developing new HR policies related to employee relations matters.
Provide functional or technical supervision of assigned personnel within areas of own position responsibilities where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Advanced degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or the equivalent education and experience are preferred.
Minimum of 3 years practicing as an HRBP, employee relations manager and/or employment law attorney in a law firm or corporate role is strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and relationship building required.
Expert knowledge of employment law and other related laws required.
Strong oral and written communication skills and influencing capabilities required.
Experience and proficiency using various personal computer software including MS Office and HRIS systems.
Experience working with collective bargaining agreements required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
