PeopleScout, a TrueBlue Company, has a Employee Relations Coordinator position open on the Human Resources team. This role will reside in the Chicago office. The Employee Relations Coordinator will be relied upon to be a trusted confidante to employees to assist them in quickly working through any issues or questions they may have.Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, compliance and practices and experience in developing, executing and maintaining HR projects and programs.

  • Provide quick and accurate information to employees via phone and email.

  • Collaborate and consult with various individuals and departments, establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees and Subject Matter Experts such as Legal, Compliance and HR Business Partners as needed to coordinate investigation-related activities and determine outcome recommendations.

  • Work closely with broader PeopleScout HR team to ensure constant collaboration on projects and employee communications.

  • Acts as point person for employee onboarding and outreach.

  • Identify opportunities for improving ER policies and procedures based on analytics and trends. Collaborate with ER Partners on formulating and implementing solutions.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of information to include, but not limited to, conversations, documents, complaints and investigations. Exercise sound judgment in handling or working with confidential data and situations.

  • Collect sensitive and confidential information and documentation from appropriate sources, including through claimant, witness and targeted employee interviews; prepare and submit reports related to investigations; and propose remedial action based on investigation findings.

  • Promote direct communication, proactive problem resolution and positive rapport amongst employees and managers.

  • Assists with tracking and logging of information for various programs.

  • Manages departmental inbox

  • Coordinates special projects and research.


  • Two years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working with Canada is a plus

  • Demonstrated success in resolving disputes and working with people in crisis in a multi-unit organization.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Energized by working in a highly collaborative, team environment.

  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and sound judgment at all times.

  • Proven ability to maintain high ethical standards, recognize risks and exhibit extreme professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues.

  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and respond with the appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Effective communication and influence skills with the aptitude to function equally well independently and in a team environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
