The purpose of an Employee Housing Maintenance Technician is to provide support in maintaining all aspects of employee housing facilities. This is necessary in achieving the goal of providing a maximum level of service to employee housing tenants and protecting owned/leased assets.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each Member and guest receives outstanding service in a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every Member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Empowered to guarantee total resident satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our residents at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our Members and guests and assure that all transactions are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to always maintain a secure and safe environment for team members and resident. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the Assistant General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all Yellowstone Club team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.

  • Ensures that performance standards, policies and procedures for Employee Housing are followed.
  • Responsible for complying with all housing, health, and safety regulations as well as all federal, state, and local applicable laws.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks according to the Yellowstone Club/Employee Housing program.
  • Exercise practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and operation of mechanical systems of the Employee housing facilities.
  • Complete work orders assigned.
  • Maintain and/or repair all equipment and systems or inform your direct report if the repair is beyond your technical capability.
  • Monitor all equipment and systems.
  • Monitor shop stock inventories of supplies. Inform direct report of supplies needed.
  • Keep direct report promptly informed of all concerns in the workplace.
  • Keep a safe, clean work area at all times.
  • Share on-call duties for emergency maintenance situations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain basic historical knowledge on all equipment/systems.
  • Meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner by following company policies and guidelines.
  • Provide information on equipment data and types to keep all historical data up to date.
  • Conduct self in a manner projecting a positive and favorable image to the company.
  • Any persons, no matter what job classification or duties assigned, may be requested to assist the operation in times of crisis or emergency, at any time.
  • Routine walk-thrus conducted to ensure safety/security of tenants and compliance of housing regulations.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Meet departmental productivity, organization, punctuality/attendance and consistency standards.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Treat residents, vendors, and co-workers with professionalism and respect at all times.

  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

PERFORMANCE FACTORS:

  • Attendance/ Punctuality and Dependability: Depended upon to report to work at the scheduled time, is seldom absent from work, and keeps unplanned absences to a minimum. Employee follows company policy of reporting/planning absences and going through the correct channels to request time off. Completes work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner, is conscientious about assignments and deadlines.
  • Normal Work Schedule: five 8 hour workdays per week with limited to no overtime unless prior approval is granted, 30 minutes for lunch unpaid. Up to 2 nights per week On Call, weekends and/or holidays based on business demands.
  • Office Hours: As needed to record service maintenance and repairs.

Experience/Education Required

  • Read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic Household Systems knowledge
  • Experience in household maintenance & repair including:
  • Drywall repair
  • Painting/Staining
  • Light Electrical Repair
  • Flooring Replacement
  • Doors & Windows Repair/Replacement
  • Household plumbing maintenance & repair
  • Plumbing Fixture Replacements

Experience/Education Preferred

  • Experience working with Rental facilities.
  • Experience with face-to-face interactions with tenants of rental facilities.
  • Experience in Facilities maintenance or other applicable trades.

Certificates & Licenses

Valid State Driver's License

Computer Skills

Able to use basic computer programs including but not limited to: Microsoft Window applications such as Word, Excel, Adobe, Vendor online ordering platforms, Employee Management Portals, etc

Language Ability

Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co-workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.

Math Ability

Able to perform basic math calculations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office products - Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Knowledge of structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.

  • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.

  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences in ability, personality and interests, learning and motivation.

  • Skills and Abilities:

  • Reading and writing comprehension - understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents and communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

  • Education and Experience:

  • Three to five years of work-related skill, knowledge, and experience is preferred.

  • Proficiency in software applications preferred.

  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training or job-related course work required.

  • Proven experience using communication and organizational skills to accomplish goals.

  • Formal training at vocational schools, colleges or universities recognized.

  • Similar combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.

  • The employee may be required to:

  • Lift items weighing up to 75 pounds;

  • Have face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams;

  • May work exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable without hearing protection;

  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, natural terrain up to and including a 10% grade and hike or walk the property continuously;

  • Must be able and available to operate company vehicles required in the daily operations and activities per the company's insurance requirements;

  • Visual observation is necessary for the analysis of finishes, electrical and mechanical systems, and job functions;

  • Auditory observation is necessary for the analysis of electrical and mechanical systems and job functions;

  • Work outdoors in environments subject to changes in temperatures, wind, precipitation, sunlight, and/or other climates;

  • Work exposed to natural hazards that may be known or unknown, i.e. insects, animals, plants, rising water, etc.

  • Work indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
