We are searching for a Registered Nurse for a full time day shift position in our Employee Health department. The Employee Health RN is responsible to the Director of Human resources for the delivery of quality care utilizing the nursing process. Apply your nursing knowledge derived from education and experience as foundation for patient care, communication, and documentation on the unit.
Incumbent is responsible for the case management ofemployees injured at work, or experiencing a work-related illnessor exposure. Will implement properprotocol to ensure maximum medical involvement and appropriate return to workplacement. Incumbent will provideeducation and support to the injured employee during the medical and vocationalrecovery. Will interface with treating physicians,therapy services, worker's compensation insurance carriers, attorneys, and SCWorker's Compensation. Coordinates andimplements annual TB and Flu clinics and tracks all delinquent employees. Performs physical assessments for new hiredemployees. Job may include directsupervision of students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Managing trends of injures and developingeducational plans. Developing weeklyreports for leadership.
Essential Core Functions:
Provide quality patient care, in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and department.
Maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community.
Prescribes, delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided to assigned patients and is responsible for meeting all standards associated with performance, nursing practice and nursing care.
Current unencumbered South Carolina or Multi-state Compact Registered Nurse License
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification on hire
Must have experience in clinical nursing.
Experience in Occupational Health desired.
Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal & external customer.
Performs in accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly evaluation based on these responsibilities
Computer skills required.
Knowledge of American Disability Act, FamilyMedical Leave of Absence, OSHA and SC Work Comp.
