Employee Health Nurse Overview:
This position is responsible for providing excellence in care to all Harris County Public Health (HCPH) employees by coordinating Employee Health Programs, and works closely with various HCPH Offices, Divisions, HR Associate Director, and the HCPH Chief People Officer (CPO) to promote a safe & healthy workplace for all employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs pre- & post-employment assessments for all HCPH employees
Responsible for new employee onboarding presentations and relative activities
Tracks, monitors, and administers Immunizations for HCPH employees
Monitors and documents temperature on the medication refrigerator, orders vaccines and medical supplies
Supports investigations of all blood-borne and body fluid exposure investigations and reporting
Conducts Employee Health all-employee trainings
Responsible for Employee Health records retention
Serves on the Employee Engagement Committee
